Buchanan, Donal B.

Former President, Mid-Atlantic Epigraphic Society; research articles have dealt with Etruscan, Runic, Iberic, Italo-Celtic and Ogham epigraphy.

Dana Chandler

Historian and computer programer; trained archivist; Graduate Research Assistant, Encyclopedia of Alabama; researching Amerindian archaeology.

Julian Fell

Zoologist and former museum administrator; son of founder Barry Fell, he has enjoyed a unique front-row seat for the recent “explosion” in epigraphic researches.

Alan Gillespie

Professor; Director, Remote Sensing Lab, Geological Sciences, University of Washington, Seattle; author, Remote Sensing in Geology, research includes dating of rock surfaces and archaeoastronomy.

Stephen C. Jett

Professor Emeritus, Department of Geography, University of California at Davis; notable for his distribution studies of complex cultural traits and for reviews of transoceanic diffusion.

Alice Kehoe

Professor Emeritus, Anthropology, Marquette University; scholar of native American ethnology and historical issues influencing archaeology.

Norman Totten

Professor Emeritus, History, Bentley College; first Vice President of the Epigraphic Society; scholar of history and archaeology of pre-Columbian America and transcultural associations.

Mark Watts

Founding Director, Electronic University; oral historian and archivist specializing in Far Eastern and Native American mythology and related iconography; former audio producer, Joseph Campbell Foundation; currently design consultant for Virtual Space Entertainment’s National Geographic Exhibit.

Peter Garfall

Founding Fellow of the Epigraphic Society; met Barry in 1970 when he was Head Diver and Collector for the New England Aquarium; was Barry’s research, field, and photo assistant; helped with publication of ESOP; led and participated in field trips in US and Libya; assisted Barry in publication of 5 books (including his Zoological publication).
